“I am extremely satisfied with our collaboration with Flexy Global, and I can highly recommend them… Flexy acts as an advisor, not just an executor (unlike other agencies I've worked with), translating the client's vision into design effectively.”

Marketing your services without making your site look like a personal website can be challenging. On one hand, you want to appear unique and professional, but you also want to be seen as an agency.
So, what’s the silver lining? Personal websites usually showcase an individual’s skills and experiences to solicit employment while corporate websites introduce themselves to visitors and promote goods or services. While personal websites are motivated by employment, corporate websites are motivated by revenue and services.
Recruitment Backstage was founded by one person, but it's more than a portfolio of skills and achievements, it is a service provider.
What is Recruitment Backstage?
Recruitment Backstage is a career consulting company founded by Yana, a recruiter with over 10 years of experience at Google, Meta, and other large companies.
Its goal is to help job seekers build CVs and LinkedIn accounts, search for vacancies in new countries, role transition, and secure a place in a multinational company.
The company offers full and partial individual programs, CV & LinkedIn crafting lessons, and 30-minute call sessions to answer recruitment questions.
Our challenge
Yana reached out to us for help with her website design because she wanted to have a site that isn’t quite a portfolio but more like a commercial landing page promoting her services and informing job seekers of her unique qualifications.
The scope of this project included a homepage design, landing pages, bento card designs, animations, 30+ illustrations.
Homepage
The new landing page design focuses on Recruitment Backstage’s unique selling point — its services and achievements. A well-designed homepage UX/UI design will answer all the visitor’s questions at first glance, so Flexy designers set to work to make the website content accessible.
This tactic doesn’t take the human element out of the design because we still introduced the driving force behind the company, its founder Yana who is the core of the company’s branding image. But, the first several blocks still focus on user needs by answering their questions, “Who?” “What do they offer” and “How can this benefit me?”
To make the information accessible and avoid cognitive overload, we assembled some of the blocks and page navigation horizontally. This creates a natural left-to-right flow, comfortable for an English speaker’s eye because users tend to scan online content in an ‘F’ or ‘E’ shaped pattern.
For example, the Recruitment Backstage process was designed with an interactive navigation on the left, while the information for each service appears on the right, users don’t even need to scroll. An intuitive user experience (UX) creates a comfortable and predictable environment because users aren’t pushed to complete unnecessary actions.
Animation
Did you know that animations on websites can increase sales and attract more leads?
This animation brilliantly deconstructs the job search process into steps and learning points that are easy to follow, using minimalistic design and transitions that represent Recruitment Backstage’s slick career acceleration services.
The motion design shows how the job seeker and Recruitment Backstage come together to work through each step toward the ultimate goal of landing a job.
Services
Our designers aimed to design a Services page that effectively communicates the agency’s value proposition and invites users to book a call.
We focused on creating an appealing and logical hierarchy to create a UX that reduces cognitive load and guides readers through the content toward an action. We did this using sectioning, color, and information hierarchy.
The use of green call-to-action buttons against a white background draws user attention and prompts an interaction with the interface. This color is also used to psychologically create a feeling of growth and safety.
We also designed effortless navigation through the blocks and program details so that the information is not an endless vertical scroll to bore the users. Horizontal blocks and bento cards add to the natural, user-friendly user experience that leads visitors towards conversion.
UI Kit
To design the UI of Recruitment Backstage, we began with the client’s vision of a personalized, commercial business card website that reflects the founder’s experience.
The client requested a light-themed, transparent, minimalistic design that favored cold tones. To keep the site engaging, we introduced accent pieces and color focus.
Early moodboards had large typography and 3D design ideas that we later replaced with softer, curved abstract elements.
Our redesign beautifully combines cool, soft colors with bright accents that catch the eye and are associated with growth (green) and progress (red), highlighting the most important parts of the website. The new UI design has a clean, spacious layout with modern sans-serif fonts and subtle animations, creating an engaging and intuitive interface that mirrors the company's commitment to making job searching simple.
Responsive Web Design
Our UX/UI redesign effortlessly adapts from desktop to mobile screens, maintaining full functionality which is so important for visibility and retention rates. Creating an adaptable interface is a critical part of user-centric, personal design, which is becoming the new standard as digital interaction now is more important than traditional channels.
The only tweak? We ditched the hover states for touch interactions, but the users will have the same experience across their devices.
