— Quote from client about Flexy
After over six months of dedicated work, we're thrilled to unveil our UI/UX work for InVintory, an AI platform for wine collectors of varying levels of experience. Inspired by the elegance and history of the drink, which dates back to 7000 B.C., we aimed to bring sophistication and smart functionality to InVintory's digital wine cellar.
What is InVintory?
InVintory stands out as an innovative application in the wine industry, offering a smart and intuitive solution to a problem many wine collectors face: managing and finding bottles in their personal cellars. The idea was sparked by a moment of frustration experienced by Jeff Daiter, who, in his quest for a specific bottle, ended up dropping and breaking it instead. This incident highlighted a need for a better way to keep track of wine collections.Seeing an opportunity to solve this issue, Jeff turned to his son, Josh, a talented software developer. Together, they created InVintory, a user-friendly app designed to make wine management a breeze. Now, with a few taps, wine lovers can easily track, locate, and enjoy their prized bottles without the fear of loss or breakage. InVintory has transformed the way collectors interact with their wine.
Our Challenge
InVintory came to us with a clear set of challenges they were facing and needed our help to solve. They wanted their website to be a helpful guide for anyone who loves wine, from those just starting their collection to seasoned experts. The website needed to showcase how InVintory serves as an essential tool for wine collectors, directly addressing their challenges and positioning itself as the go-to solution for these issues. Our clients wanted to make sure visitors could easily find and use the help articles directly on the main page of the site. They also wanted the site to be a one-stop shop, with links to all the articles written about InVintory and an informative "About Us" page.Another important task was to create a special section for Opus, their most profitable product, which didn’t have a separate page before. Overall, InVintory wanted their website to look and feel luxurious and elegant to match the quality of their application and the collectors who love them.

Homepage
We designed the homepage to make a visitor’s first interaction as visually pleasing and intuitive as possible. When customers land on the page, they will be greeted by an experience that resonates with their interests. Flexy designers aimed to transform curiosity into action – encouraging visitors to download the InVintory app.In crafting the InVintory website, Flexy struck a balance between professionalism and the inviting ambiance of a friendly wine cellar. The warm, rich color palette was selected to evoke the luxurious and hearty essence of fine wine, while a thoughtful application of visual hierarchy - using typography, color, and spacing - skillfully steers users through the site's various offerings. The user's journey begins with an engaging hero section that presents a striking image carousel, displaying the InVintory app's interface. These high-quality visuals serve to immediately immerse the user in a premium experience, laying the groundwork for the site's credibility and sophisticated allure.Below this visual feast, the user finds a succinct value proposition beside a compelling 'Download the App' call-to-action (CTA) button. Placed with intent, the CTA harnesses the principles of persuasive design through minimal text, focusing the user's attention and fostering prompt conversion.
Woven into the site's narrative is a testimonial section that showcases endorsements from reputable sources, effectively using social proof to fortify trust and facilitate the user's decision-making process. Additionally, the site is peppered with interactive elements such as button hover effects, videos, and scroll-driven animations to add an element of discovery and engagement. Product videos help establish trust, while motion design prompts longer visit sessions, compelling users to explore the product further. These micro-interactions play a critical role in keeping the user's interest piqued and spur them to delve deeper into the world of InVintory.
About InVintory
For the 'About Us' page on InVintory's website, our Flexy designers carefully crafted a layout that tells a story. The page starts with a powerful message, "Made by Collectors, for Collectors," setting a personal and relatable tone. We chose a clean and straightforward design to walk visitors through the brand's origin, vision, and the people behind it, using a combination of engaging images and text. The warm and inviting color scheme reflects the passion and sophistication of wine culture. Each section flows smoothly into the next, leading visitors down a path that feels like a conversation, encouraging trust and engagement.
Showcasing Media
To keep InVintory's media page user-centric, we went with a grid layout that makes both podcasts and webinars easily accessible. according to some UX studies, a well-structured grid layout can enhance content discoverability, meaning users can find what they're looking for more quickly compared to more freeform layouts.
Animation
Our team created an immersive experience right from the start with a hero animation that reveals a stunning 3D visualization of the wine cellar product. This animation serves as a dynamic introduction, instantly captivating users and drawing them into the world of InVintory. We complemented this with subtle yet refined button hover effects that provide tactile feedback and enhance user interaction, along with scroll-driven animations that unfold as the user navigates down the page, contributing to a total of over 10 individual animations that enrich the browsing experience. These animations are not just visually appealing; they are strategically designed to guide users through the conversion funnel. The use of animations can increase user engagement since they capture user attention in less than 1/10th of a second. Additionally, websites that employ meaningful animations can see a boost in conversion rates by up to 20%, as they provide visual cues that lead users towards taking action, such as signing up or making a purchase.
Illustrations
Flexy’s custom illustrations for InVintory’s website are designed to capture the essence of the wine culture, adding a touch of luxury while remaining true to the brand’s authenticity. They are drawn with a simplicity that speaks to the modern collector yet detailed enough to evoke a sense of refinement. These artistic touches contribute significantly to the overall aesthetic, making the website not just a platform, but a place where wine enthusiasts feel understood and at home.
Device Adaptability
At Flexy, we know how important it is for a website to work well on any device, whether it's a computer, phone, or tablet. Our focus was to preserve the charm and interactive nature of the site, making sure that the elegant and innovative features that define the brand's experience were consistent regardless of the device used.We used responsive design techniques that fluidly scale content and features to match different screen resolutions, guaranteeing that users receive a fully functional and aesthetically pleasing interface on any device. This approach is crucial because responsive design is rated as the top reason visitors might choose to end their session, which results in high bounce rates. By prioritizing a responsive design, we enhance user engagement, maximize reach, and ensure InVintory’s digital presence is beautifully conveyed every time.
UI Kit
We went for a look that is modern and user-friendly. The contents of each page were shaped into card-like blocks with clean lines to build a structure and intuitive UX that aligns with the brand's goals and values. With lots of open space around each element, we ensured that the site feels uncluttered and content stands out just as the wine bottles in the virtual cellars. The color scheme adds to the site's inviting atmosphere, much like a warm, well-stocked wine cellar. We carefully selected colors that represent each of InVintory's products:
- A soft beige for 'Aspire' that welcomes newcomers,
- A deep red for 'Prestige' to appeal to the seasoned collector,
- And a bold black for 'Opus' which has an air of exclusivity.
These colors are part of the InVintory narrative, visually conveying the brand's story in a sensory and engaging way.
